A fun little project made entirely with Cedar.

This is a sign for a home. The overall height is 6ft so once it is set in some concrete bloc in the ground, it will be about 5ft tall.

The board itself is 3ft x 2ft and the details have been carved with CNC and I poured black carbon pigmented epoxy for good durability.

The major lesson learned here is to avoid working with Cedar in the future. It is really hard to work with all the knots and it is also a very “soft” wood which marks with anything that barely touches it. Amazing smell though …
